The objectives of this organization shall be:
To promote responsible midwifery in Louisiana and the USA.
To elevate the standards for midwives.
To support freedom of choice for women and families to choose their birth environment.
To bring about cooperation among midwives and other professionals providing services to the child-bearing public.
To extend opportunities to those interested in midwifery through education.
To gain experience from coming together and enriching ourselves.
